Dubai offers the possibility of a so-called Retirement Visa. This is valid for 5 years and can be extended by 5 years at the end of the term.
The requirements are relatively low
- Minimum age: 55 years (no maximum age)
- Private health insurance
- Real estate investment currently worth only £ 410,000 (AED 2,000,000)
If you are between 45 and 55 years of age, retirement from 55 can be planned in advance, like a personal retirement insurance. The monthly deposits are very, very manageable, you retain full control and can transfer your deposit to another investment or use it in an emergency at any time.

- One-time deposit at the beginning: only £ 44,000
- Monthly deposits in the first 3 years: only £ 2,600
- Monthly deposits in the following 7 years: only £ 3,450

You can e.g. register your main residence to Dubai, enjoy the luxury of the beach in Dubai or take a 6 month world tour.
