Since 15 April 2015 Downtown Dubai has a fancy little double-decker street car to hop-on and hop-off, called Dubai Trolley. It has been designed specifically as tourist attraction to transport visitors and residents conveniently in Downtown Dubai. The old tram alike Dubai Trolley currently serves 3 stations within Downtown Dubai along Mohamed Bin Rashid Boulevard: Station 1: The Address (Downtown), Station 2: Manzil (Downtown Dubai), Station 3: VIDA (Downtown)
In the first phase, Dubai Trolley covers 1km and connects 3 destinations in Old Town within Downtown Dubai. In its planned full length it will tour 7 km and connect all major attractions of Downtown Dubai including Burj Khalifa, The Dubai Mall, The Dubai Fountain, Souq Al Bahar as well as Manzil Downtown, VIDA Downtown, The Address Downtown Dubai and The Address Dubai Mall.
The Dubai Trolley is operated by 14 members of staff, runs on hydrogen and electric power with zero emissions and travels at an operational speed of 10 km per hour. To ensure safe pedestrian traffic, several crossings are provided as well along the tramway.
The 2 trams are painted in bright red with aesthetic gold pin-stripes and have Arabesque design features. Each double-decker trolley tram can carry 50 passengers, who can opt for open-deck or air-conditioned seating or conveniently hop on and hop off at locations of their choice, significantly enhancing connectivity.
Dubai Trolley operates daily between 5pm and 1am and is currently free to be used. Just enjoy the ride and take photos.

The Dubai Mall is located in the centre of "New" Dubai, in Downtown Dubai right next to Burj Khalifa, near the junction of Sheikh Zayed Road (SZR) and Financial Center Road, 16 minutes away from the airport (DXB). Dubai Mall is easy to reach by car and taxi via Sheikh Zayed Road (SZR) or Al Khail Road and Financial Center Road and Mohamed Bin Rashid Boulevard. Dubai Metro has a station (Dubai Mall/Burj Khalifa), which allows to visit Dubai Mall conveniently and fully climatised via the the "Metro Link".
